the power to create

Jasc Quick View Plus
View Data Even If You Don't Have the Program That Created It!

Have you ever received an E-Mail with an attachment created in a file format your computer didn't recognize?

This has happened to me a number of times. I usually ask the sender to change the file type and re-send the file. This isn't a problem except of course for the delay involved. But sometimes the person sending the file is a novice and doesn't have the foggiest notion what you mean.

Other times are somewhat inconvenient and down right embarrassing. I am the computer guru at work. Ours is a business that is quite technically oriented and we are involved with blueprints and drawings all the time. We don't use AutoCAD in our office and we often receive AutoCAD files via E-mail.

I just hate to ask the sender to send me the file in another format. Engineers are generally busy and hat to re-do anything.

We got an inexpensive program just to be able to open Cad drawings. Everything was OK for a while until AutoCAD was revised and our program became worthless.

That's when I decided to search for a program that has multi file viewing/printing capabilities.

When I came across Jasc's Quick View Plus, I was impressed by the claims the program made and even more impressed with the versatility and capability of this outstanding program.

The screen on the left is an actual view of my Excel Book collection file. I opened the file with Quick View Plus.  As you can see the data was faithfully reproduced as though it was opened in the native Excel file format. The same fidelity of any file you open in Quick View Plus will just as it does with the program that created it. There are more than 200 file types that can be viewed with Quick View Plus. At its modest price the program is a valuable tool in your utility toolbox. If you receive files in a variety of formats you need this program!

Another important aspect of the program became apparent to me when I started using it. Have you ever created data in a program and the company that published that program was out of business? If your program disk or CD was

lost or damage what do you do to recover your data? You could send it to a data recovery company and pay a lot of money to recover the data. What actually happened to me was that the data I created in DOS was useless since the company that made the program went out of business. I changed the file type to .txt and it was readable in Quick View Plus! The screen shot above shows that the program was actually created in delimited form and was readable in Quick View Plus.

Another terrific feature of the program is that you can create Zipped Files or Unzip a file. Zipped files are files which have been compressed to save space. A Zip/Unzip program sells for between $10 and $35 alone.

If being able to access data without owning a variety of programs is important to you, you need Quick View Plus.

As with all Jasc products, you can go to their website www.jasc.com and try the program free for 30 days.
