Password Locker

"Simply the Best Way to Manage Your Passwords!"

If you are like me, you probably have at least a dozen or so passwords you need to remember to log on to bank accounts, web sites as well as password protected files on your computer.

Password Locker is a terrific utility that will help you manage the many passwords that you need to remember. No more sticky notes on your computer or in your wallet.

Many people tend to use simplistic passwords that a cracker can easily hack such as "Money, Password, 1776, 1492 etc. Some use their address or birth date. Many people use the same password for all their logins.

In this era of identity theft you are asking for trouble if you rely on such simple schemes. The best way to design a password would include numbers and letters both caps and lower case with a few characters like @#$%^&* thrown in as well.

If you work in an environment with a lot of co-workers, you never know who may be watching you log into a sensitive area on your computer or your personal back account on line. Why take the chance?

Password management software has been around for a while. I've used them with great success. However, several programs go out to the publishers website for updates and verifications.

Password Locker resides on your computer and passwords are encrypted so if anyone is watching the most they can possible see is your ID on a site or file not your password.

The "locker" aspect of the program is like a gym locker. You only need one master password to access your password list.

The screen on the left is the Master Screen.

Enter your Master Password and that's all you have to remember. Five or six characters will secure your master password.

What could be easier? And since the information is stored in an encrypted form on your computer, your passwords are as secure as if they were stored in a safety deposit box inside a bank vault. The box is then secured in the vault.

This screen depicts the list of sites and or files that require passwords to gain access. Simply click on the site name and the user name and password are filled in for you......

AUTOMATICALLY!!!

Password Locker saves you a lot of time and effort. Not only remembering the password for the sites you have password protected but automatically opening the site you select in the locker. In seconds you are ready to go!

Bypassing the Password Prompt

So many passwords, so little memory. In a digital era where everybody can access everything from bank information to vacation photos online, passwords are everywhere and many folks in the plugged-in world are finding they have more than they can remember.

The article above says it all. It's a PASSWORD JUNGLE OUT THERE!!!

After examining several password management programs, I recommend Password Locker. I had used Symantec's Password Manager included with Internet Security 2004. I loved the program but alas, Symantec did not update the program in it's 2005 Release of Internet Security.

I searched for the ideal program and decided that Password Locker is the best choice for a number of reasons. A couple of password management publishers hotlink you to their web site. In theory they could access your password list.

In light of recent hackers breaking into very secure credit card sites, I prefer a program that is resident on my computer. That way I know my passwords are secure from most hackers who would have to penetrate my hardware and software firewalls to get at my computer. It's possible but hackers would rather get mass numbers of passwords, not a single user.

Password Locker operates similar to a physical locker. If you have the key you can access the contents. Password Locker is accessible only through a single password which you create. Once you have entered the passwords, the program will show you as list of the passwords you have stored in the program. Both the Master Password and all the passwords inside the locker are encrypted insuring complete safety and accessibility limited on to you.

Best of all, the program is highly instinctive. The manager icon lets you add, delete or change the information about  any password/site you have asked the program to memorize. Just click on the name of the program and Password Manager will open the program for you and fill in the password.

The Traveler version is a USB device (identical to the flash drives you may be familiar with) that you can take with you when you travel. If your laptop is stolen and you have the Traveler Device on you keychain, you have the peace of mind knowing that your passwords are secured on the device and not on your laptop.

Another feature is the modest price. The computer version is the pricing........

You can try the program free for 30 days. This is a MUST HAVE PROGRAM!!

Ask yourself how many times you have had to have a new password issued every time you have forgotten it. Save the hassle and let Password Locker remember them for you.

This program is simply the best in it's class, and a first class value!
